Cedele by The Bakery Depot was founded by Ms Yeap Cheng Guat in July 1997. After spending many years in the multi-nationals, Ms Yeap decided to put her baking passion to test.

Since day one, Cedele by The Bakery Depot was formed with a clear objective in mind – making healthy and quality food. We have been making food the traditional and time-tested way where the very essence of making a decent loaf is time.

When we started our first flagship store in East Coast, we make food like craftsmen (artisans) playing out life's more delicious moments. We take pride in the food we created, and we make food from scratch. They are honest because we handcraft them everyday following recipes that were designed according to our baking and cooking beliefs and principles.

Bakery Depot is the parent company who is responsible of all the baking and making of food, and Cedele is our bakery cafe.

We have grown and now have outlets in downtown.

OUR FOOD

Cedele’s love affair with all things natural or organic continues as we offer a delicious range of bread, cakes, pies, sandwiches, salads, soups. We define vegetarian food as having no eggs.

We offer a wide range of high fibre bread using grains and seeds such as wholewheat, oatbran, linseed, sunflower seeds and more.

Bad fats like trans fats are nowhere to be found in our bread, cakes, pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches. Improvers, softening agents, pre-mixes, chemically produced stabilizers and emulsifiers, artificial flavourings and all are forbidden in our kitchen. We don’t use preservatives for our bread, cakes and pastries either.

Only fresh and natural ingredients are used. Plus, we use the finest quality unsalted butter and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil for flavour yet for body wellness. And when we need some sugar for our food, we use organic unrefined sugar for healthy reasons!

Our philosophy is to eat good, live well. Healthy food that tastes great. You will be surprised!

Our team is a professional and disciplined lot. Being committed about creating foods of highest quality and integrity, the people in Cedele are artisans – craftsmen of healthy and delicious food – paying close attention to our crafts and making food with great care and we love our work. Our days start as early as 2am , stewing soup, churning out our daily loaves, creaming and whipping up cakes, and baking pastries. With great passion comes great food. And we are happy to have this group of passionate food creators, who help to bring our dreams to realization.
